On nice summer evenings, we enjoy going to Falls Park and walking around and letting Aiden play in the water (not the river water but the fountains by the walkway). Aiden loves to cross the bridges and see the ducks. He's not so sure about the waterfall and fountains.

Stone Mountain Park
We took the kids for their first visit to Stone Mountain Park. Grammy and the kids and I rode the train which goes around the mountain. I thought Aiden would be thrilled but when he heard the noise of the steam engine he got a little scared and ended up sitting in Grammy's lap with his head against her chest the entire ride. He seemed relieved to get off, but later that evening he couldn't stop talking about riding the choo-choo train. You never know with kids. After the train ride, we found a spot on the lawn to watch the laser show. Auntie Michelle couldn't resist indulging Aiden and buying him a light-up sword. He had a blast swinging it around but I'm sure almost nailed more than a few people in the head with it. Shanda met us for the show so we had a nice group. Once the music started Aiden crawled in my lap and clung to me. He turned his head sideways for the entire show and refused to look at the mountain. He did the same for the fireworks after the show. It was really funny to watch his reaction...totally not what I was expecting. But the music and the fireworks were pretty loud. Despite his reactions to the laser show and the train, he talked about it for weeks afterwards. "Mommy, go park and sit on grass and watch show and fireworks...ride choo-choo train."

"My knee is runnin'." (21 months)
"Just give me some space." (21 months)
"P-butter and bubbles." (21 months, referring to his peanut butter and jelly sandwich)
